Hey!

I'll try and enlighten you with some info about the Songs playing (maybe some crap you don't even care about - who knows) and bring you as many 20-Song Marathons as I can get away with! I know some of You have been with me for Years in this Market, so you may here some repeats along the way! If you didn't know, I have (I think) the distinction of being on certain frequencies more than anybody else around here! (it's my 3rd time on 105.7 for example) - To fill you in, I was on Magic 94 way back in the early 90's, 96RXR for several Years after that, Sunny Country (107.7), WBBQ (both On-Air and driving a Mobile News Car [#7]), a short time on Sunny 105, then with Y105 when the switch occurred, then back to WBBQ, and finally Eagle (both 102 and now 1057) - geez, it sounds like I can't hold a job!!!

Election Day
Wednesday 06-11-2008 9:59am ET
I was just reading a suggestion from a CNN Reporter about changing the Presidential Election Day from a Tuesday to either a Saturday or a Sunday. I'm a firm believer in Traditions, but when it was explained that the reason a Tuesday was chosen way back when was because that was the one Day of the Week when Farmers (which most of America's Voters were) could get away, and therefore improve the percentage of Eligible People who could get to the Polls! Well...I don't think that is very applicable in today's Society (as he did). But... I've got an even better idea! Why not figure out a way for People to vote from their Home Computer! Everybody either has one, or has access to one, and I'm betting that counting would be a whole lot easier, go smoother, and be way way way more accurate. My Candidate hasn't always won, but I have supported the Winner once they were determined. There is still one particular Election in dispute, and that has left me wondering since if I was indeed supporting the Winner (check out the Movie Recount on HBO). Wouldn't this approach ensure that it'd be done right, and get a higher percentage of Voters involved?

Let me Hear what You think.............
Dr. McCartney
Wednesday 05-28-2008 9:50am ET
Con-grad-ulations to Sir Paul McCartney, who now can add "Dr." to his Name! Paul was in New Haven, Connecticut this past Monday to be awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Music Degree from Yale University as part of their Commencement Exercises!

The obvious dilemna now is to figure out whether it's Dr. Sir or Sir Dr. Paul!!
Seat Belts
Wednesday 05-28-2008 9:41am ET
I've been seeing the Click It - or Ticket TV Commercials for quite some time now, and certainly understand the logic of wearing a Seat Belt for Safety, but.......
a Friend of mine was recently ticketed in Aiken ($25 fine) for "Improperly Wearing her Seat Belt!" She drives an Older Truck which does not allow for adjustments to the height on the Shoulder Strap, so she has a choice of it going across her Face or Under her Arm (she chose the Underarm option - duh!) She was ticketed the other day being told that it has to be worn the way it was intended! My first thought was "What do they then do to People who drive older Cars that don't have a Shoulder Strap?" Next came: "Do They actually propose that it's Safer for her to be driving down the Road with this Thing across her Face?" And Lastly: "What about all those Idiots I see with their Seat Belts properly fastened who pull some Stupid Stunt because they'te talking on their Cell Phones - why isn't there a Law about something that really is hazardous???"

Send Me Your Thoughts....
